Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest health threats facing the world today, with claims that as many as 10 million lives could be at risk by 2050. It is beholden therefore on everyone globally to change their behaviours and practices to help protect the efficacy of these vital medicines.
Members of the public, including farmers, medics and veterinary professionals are all being called upon to consider whether antibiotic interventions are really necessary in treating either themselves or their livestock and pets.
