CASE STUDY: Farmer finds woodshavings help beat E coli and reduce use of antibiotics at lambing

A new case study in Farmers Weekly describes how switching from straw to woodshavings in individual lambing pens has helped one North East sheep farmer see fewer types of E coli infection, such as watery mouth and scours

The farmer has stopped using a prophylactic antibiotics treatment in newborn lambs to protect them from E coli bacteria as a result.  Read more here
